I hear the Lord saying, “Draw in…”

I see His hands holding something new, something He wants to give, but we have to draw in - near to Him, closer to Him, so we can receive.

He’s holding the Word for you and for me. With wings like a dove - like a bird - it’s alive, anointed, and free.

I come close, to receive the power that He wants to give. My hands reach for His and we share this gift of life as we both hold the dove.

We share His giving of life.

It’s a message, a movement, a shifting, shaking, and standing strong on solid ground. This gift is a new thing, needed for now. It is a work, it’s a movement, a shifting and shaking away - into what was meant to be.

It comes with His wisdom as we hold loosely - with Him. It comes with direction as we look into His eyes and stay connected to His gaze.

This gift has wings - to fly at His will, to alight where He chooses, and to cause His water to flow, His passion to burn, and His love to meld holy onto all of His people.

Will you draw in to Him, to Jesus the King who gives these good gifts?

Will you come to Him, holding out hands to receive refreshing and life-giving purpose?

Will you stay engaged in His gaze and follow the movement of His eye, showing the way to go?

It's for you and for every person waiting for your touch, your work of truth, building up, and love.

Some of you are holding onto a work that the Lord is asking you to let go. It’s been good and right for a season, but now it is time to release.

Will you trust Me? Says the Lord.

Will you believe Me and believe in My plans for you?

Will you learn to delight in the dance of trust and faith?

You hear My voice, speaking in the quiet of night and in the depth of your soul.

Now it is time to move - to draw near and release, so you can take hold.

Some of you are in the work that He’s designed you to do, yet you’re weary. He’s asking you to release the heavy things that He didn’t give you to carry.

Will you give it to Me? Says the Lord.

Will you give me your trying, even lay down your reputation?

Will you lay down the burdensome load, to free your hands, and once again take hold of Mine?

Some are in transition. You’ve completed the work He’s asked you to do and you’re waiting for the next assignment.

The Lord says, Will you draw in near, closer to Me?

Will you watch watch for Me, listen for Me, and move when I say move?

The work is coming, let’s get ready. Get in a posture to receive.

Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and [refresh your souls.]

Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.

For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good—not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne”

(Matt. 11:28-30, AMPC).

The work that God gives us is not burdensome. We can make it that way, when we forget that we are yoked to Him. When we forget that the call comes from Him. It’s when we forget that it’s only by keeping our eyes on Him, by looking on where He is looking, by following what He is saying and holding His hands and moving where He is moving, that our work gets heavy and burdensome.

The work that God gives to you and to me has its own wings, its own life, its own way.

Because the Lord is governing all, designed it all, purposed it all, we simply get to join hands with Him and help Him carry it out.

This new work that the Lord has planned for now, the work that He is bidding you: 'Come and receive. Come and help Me carry,' is waiting. Jesus is waiting and the Father is watching. Holy Spirit is hovering, because the time is at hand and Jesus’s return draws near. He is asking if you will draw in and help Him carry His work.

Hosea 10:12 says:

“Sow for yourselves righteousness;

Reap in mercy;

Break up your fallow ground,

For it is time to seek the Lord,

Till He comes and rains righteousness on you."

Let’s Pray

Father God, in the name of Jesus we come to say we believe in Your voice, and Your calling, and we say yes. We will draw near. We will seek You, love You, and follow the leading of Your eye. Break up any unbelief in us. Forgive us. Help us believe, trust, and obey.

We say yes, we will help You carry the beautiful, free work that You’ve called us to join in with You. We will do the work for today, to get ready for Your return.

We want to be builders of Your Kingdom, builders of Your people. Lead us, Lord, as we hold the work carefully, loosely, and lovingly with You.

Thank You for giving us all we need to fulfill our calling. All that we need is truly found in You.

Praise You Lord! We bless Your name.

We love You, Father. We love You, Jesus.

We love You, Holy Spirit.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Declaration:

I am a sheep who knows, hears, values, and follows the voice of my Shepherd. Where He leads, I will follow. What He asks and gives me to do - with Him - I will do.

I will not carry what Jesus does not give me. I will keep my eyes on Him and live to please Him alone. Drawing near now, I will listen to His heart and delight Him in the dance.
