A Prayer for the Things of Heaven

Hello, Family!

While praying for direction on what to write today, I felt the Lord encourage me to share a prayer for the things of heaven! I hope you'll join me...

Dear Father in Heaven,

I realize I am in process - not yet to full maturity or completion, still being taught by You, still being molded by You, still growing, by Your hand.

I'm thankful for where I am, for You being right here in the midst of the process with me.

And I'm thankful for where I am going, for the good plans on the earth that You have for me to be a part of. I truly trust that You have begun a good work in me and You will carry it on to completion until I see my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Thank You that I get to be in Your family. Thank You that I get to do a work that is important to You. Thank You for loving me enough to teach me, to train me, discipline, and disciple me. I love You, Lord!

And thank You, Father that my ultimate destination, the final and end-goal of all is to live in eternity with You!

Help me to dream of eternity.

Help me to see the things of heaven, where You reign, King Jesus, on Your everlasting throne!

Make me more aware of Your Living Water flowing deep inside of me. Fill me. Flow through me - to reach others who need a fresh drink. Help me to let go and trust in You fully, to go where You go and float in Your streams.

Lord, make this truth more real to me: "But our homeland is heaven, where our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, is; and we are looking forward to His return from there" (Phil. 2:20, TLB).

Help me, Father, to keep heaven in mind as I go throughout this day.Help me to keep growing, but not be so focused on the things of this world that I ever forget that the main thing, the only real prize, is You.

I love You, Lord, and pray in Your holy name Jesus,

Amen!

“But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body,

by the power that enables Him even to subject all things to Himself."

(Phil. 3:20-21, ESV)

Love you! Denae
